Tuki Rua show!

                                      TUKI RUA SHOW!

Tuki Rua in Maori means the second pick up in English. It was about a brother and sister they sang a lot of songs. They had a mother had passed away and it was a ghost of the mother. They also had a father who was very old and needed help to walk. The brother found a tree that had an orange on it he picked it and he ate it, Suddenly he became cooler and got better at things. He accidentally knocked his sister on to the road and she was really injured but she didn't die and the brother turned back to normal he started crying and then an ambulance came and took her away. Then they turned back to a happy brother and sister. We all enjoyed the show and it had some really funny moments. Miss Ball got sent up and threw an invisible pumpkin or something in the air and she won the competition. Also, Miss Shaw got sent up and did the same thing. Here are some pictures!

                         WE HAVE MADE GRAPHS!

Room 1 and room 6 have been asking people what their favorite movie, fruit, song and other interests are. The room 6 children have put all their work into a google sheet. We made pie charts about how many people like that and how many people liked this.

Today is Weird and Wacky day. You got to dress up however you liked as long as it was weird or wacky. This is room 6! There are a few weirdos here. We all had a lot of fun!

                                                               LANGUAGE  LESSONS

Hola, every second Wednesday we are going to be learning a new language. Miss Ball has modelled two Maori lessons using a variety of learning tools and now we are planning our own lessons to teach others. I am going to do Spanish. We are really excited  to learn new language.  We will keep you updated with what is going on with our language lessons. ados!

Lung expriment!

                                     A Model of Lungs.

Image result for lung project

On the 23rd of August Room, 6 made a model about lungs.

We used two balloons that represented the lungs and a balloon for the diaphragm. The straw was our breathing tubes. When you pull diaphragm oxygen comes in when you let it go carbon dioxide goes out. This showed us how our respiratory system works.

We also visited Room 4 and learnt about our muscles and our skeleton. In Room 7 we found out about the digestive system and in Room 8 about our hearts.

Next week we will then start our own investigation on one of systems that we have looked at.
